About us – Matt Baldwin, the founder and President of Susquehanna Organ, grew up listening to the sound of the organ churning through the pipes and resonating throughout the arched ceilings in church. His engineering mind was determined to understand not only the mechanics of the organ, but also how the sound is affected by the shape of the room, temperature of the environment, and the placement of the organ within the room.
After graduating from Shippensburg University, Matt managed the Church Organ Division of Menchey Music from May 2001 to September 2013. When Menchey Music rebalanced, he purchased the Organs and Audio Division and founded Susquehanna Organ. Matt has had the honor of overseeing the maintenance of over one hundred organs in Central PA.
Matt has a certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University in Philadelphia, is a member of MITA International (Musical Instrument Technicians Association), and is a factory-trained technician for many manufacturers. He is an official representative for the now-defunct M.P. Möller Organ Company.
Matt and his wife, Jenn, run the day-to-day operations of Susquehanna Organ. They have three children. In his free time, Matt enjoys playing bluegrass music.
